I specialize in making the powers of the Internet available to individual brokers and salespeople worldwide to make it so inexpensive it could be considered free, yet taking full advantage of the Internet, technology to the best of my ability. I have been fortunate and privileged to have served in various CCIM capacities over the years. 

I have conducted numerous marketing sessions. I have participated in CCIM marketing sessions where over $200M worth of properties are presented over a one and two-day period and the connections that ensued were inspiring. 

Other inspirations 17,000 acres sold in Peru, a string of shopping centers sold in California, and an income property in Hyde Park, Toronto all on our initial bulletin board internet platforms in the 1990s.

Why network globally? To fill a gap in the marketplace. One example: When we conducted marketing sessions at the Toronto Regional Real Estate Board Auditorium for CCIM breakfast meetings, members would stand up and talk about their opportunities. One had a buyer for apartment buildings another for shopping centers. Members and attendees had an industrial site available for sale, commercial land, and development land. Most of them were not on MLS. The connections made in the chapter were such that up to 62% of chapter members conducted transctions together in those days. 

But what about the chapter members who did not attend the function? What about the public who did not attend the function? What about the member who shares their information confidentially who missed out on reaching all the members? And all those in the world who could have been specifically interested in any one Have or Want. 

I saw all these as missed opportunities to connect with others to do business.

Sometimes I feel a kinship with Alexander Graham Bell, who invented the telephone in Brantford, Ontario for the world. The trials and tribulations, the people who laughed at him thought the telephone was a toy. Edison and Marconi, inventors struggle to get their form of electricity accepted and to grow it. The technology of the radio.

Now we have the magic of the Internet where brokers and salespeople can have people reach them from everywhere on the planet earth. Incredible. And the service ICIWorld? People from 150+ countries visit and do business from Dubai, you name it. 

All the part-time salespeople represent maybe 80% of the real estate industry. They could easily have a website with MLS on it AND the Exclusives being networked, and then do referrals on the inquiries to full-time commercial and residential real estate agents and make money doing it.
